Terms of Use
Last updated: July 29, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Train Tracks ("we", "us") governing your use of the Train Tracks iPhone application and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
What Train Tracks is — and isn't
Train Tracks schedules training — including generated Ironman and 70.3 race plans — and provides daily calorie and macro targets based on information you provide. It is a training and fueling guide, not medical, dietetic, or other professional advice, and not a substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, or qualified coach. Endurance training carries inherent risk. Consult a physician before beginning any training or nutrition program, and stop and seek medical attention if you experience symptoms like chest pain, dizziness, or unusual shortness of breath. Calorie and weight-goal guidance is general in nature; if you have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating, talk to a professional before using calorie targets. You are responsible for your own decisions about training and eating, and you assume the risks of participating in sport.
Nutrition data and AI estimates
Nutrition facts come from public databases and, for photos and typed descriptions, from AI-generated estimates that you review and confirm. Estimates are approximations and may be inaccurate — verify anything that matters (allergens especially; Train Tracks does not track allergens) against the product's actual packaging.
Accounts
You need an account (Sign in with Apple or verified phone number) to use the app. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use Train Tracks.
Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Train Tracks is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: $9.99/month or $69.99/year (prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase).
- New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically.
- Billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its plan-generation engine;
- Use the service to build a competing product or dataset;
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or circumvent its security or subscription controls;
- Use the app in violation of applicable law.
Your content and data
You own your training and nutrition data. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process, and display it in order to run the service. Our collection and use of data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and data at any time in Settings → Account.
Third-party services
Optional integrations and data sources (Strava, Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and the AI provider that reads labels and estimates macros) are governed by those services' own terms. We're not responsible for third-party services or for data they process on their side.
Intellectual property
The app, site, design, and content are owned by Train Tracks and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own training.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that plans or nutrition targets are optimal for your individual physiology, that food data or AI estimates are accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular race result will follow.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Train Tracks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for personal injury arising from your training or nutrition decisions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Apple App Store terms
These Terms are between you and Train Tracks, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
